What is an FSRT course?
British Canoeing Awarding Body Foundation Safety & Rescue Training (FSRT).
A one-day course, focusing on rescue techniques from the bank and in the water.
£84 per person including VAT. All equipment provided.
Book NowWho is it for?
This course is suitable for people who already know how to paddle. You must:
- Be able to swim in normal paddling clothing suitable for the prevailing conditions
- EITHER hold the current Paddle Explore Award, 2 Star Award OR be of equivalent ability due to the paddling environment and the boat control required to complete the course


What will I learn?
You will learn:
- Skills which will enable you to ensure your safety and that of others
- Appropriate rescue skills which can be used to help yourself and/or others in difficulty

The dates available to book now on our booking calendar are courses held at our base in Montford Bridge, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
