We took 2 canoes from Montford Bridge to Shrewsbury and had a thoroughly great time. Minibus was waiting for us when we arrived in Shrewsbury to take us upriver to get in our canoes. None of the waiting around for a promised time we’ve experienced with other’ organised’ trips. The staff were friendly, happy to chat and very knowledgable. Instruction was clear and simple to understand. Equipment was in great condition and all fit for purpose. Price was very competitive and we’d happily book with the same company again
The actual trip was very relaxing. A few sections of fast running water in shallows which felt a little more exciting - the kids thought it was ’white water’, which it wasn’t, but it gave them something to talk about! Saw more kingfishers in one trip than I have ever, including one that was so relaxed it sat still on its branch as I circled the canoe round for a closer look. Magical moment it was too!

This is such a well set up outfit. Great boats, great customer service and a fantastic river! We were a group of five in two boats and the river was nice and easy, plus there were some good places to stop on the way for a picnic and a few pubs etc.
The timing for the minibus and the estimated time of our boat trip we’re all spot-on which made the day run really smoothly. Once we’d finished we found a nice pub for a good meal which completed the day nicely.
We will definitely come back again when we are in the area because it is such an easy day out and lovely countryside.
Friendly staff, turned up on time and gave all the correct advice. I chose this company as some others wanted the same money but you didn't get the minibus to take you to start point.
We had a lovely afternoon paddling along the river in two Canadian canoes. Staff were friendly and flexible (we were running a bit late and they were very accommodating). Equipment was in great condition and we thought it was good value for money especially compared to other local companies. Thank you.
A fantastic afternoon spent on the river, we were in a mixture of paddle boards and canoe. The equipment was all clean and tidy. The service you get from this company is top notch, from booking through to the great instructions on how to safely use your boards or canoe
I found the FSRT BCU training really good. The subject was covered really well and all our questions were answered and we covered additional areas that weren't on the course because they were of interest to everyone.
The course kept to time and they insured with were able to do all the things covered by the course.
Would recommend to others and am sure will attend another course in the future.
Second time we’ve visited hire a canoe for a late afternoon paddle, really enjoyable 2 hours on the river at montford bridge, saw lots of wildlife including heron, kingfisher, jumping fish, and even had 2 swans join us for part of the journey. All the kit is in great condition, safety briefing great and these guys run a slick operation, will definitely be returning for another paddle soon. Thanks.
