Canoe hire from The Quarry, Shrewsbury's town centre park. £25 for 1 hour or £40 per canoe for 2 hours. Meet us in The Quarry at the foot of the Porthill Bridge and explore the River Severn as it loops around the town.

My partner and I had a paddle board lesson with Ben, the new instructor. He was superb, with a great balance of technical knowledge and light hearted fun. We both stood up very quickly under his guidance, and continued to have a wonderful experience paddling up and down the river Severn.
I'd highly recommend him and the company to anyone interested in learning to paddle board
Absolutely loved our trip with the paddleboards - it was torrential rain, thunder and lightening but didn’t stop us having fun! The wetsuits kept us warm - very friendly people - can’t wait to go again - thanks for an amazing experience
We had an absolute blast. Ben was a fantastic instructor who made it great fun for us. We had a mix of complete beginners and those who had done a bit before. It was great to see a new bit of Shrewsbury. We finished up playing games and trying our hardest to get our last woman standing, in the river. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back! Huge thanks to Ben for making it so much fun!
Decided to do SUP as a team building afternoon, and what a laugh we had. Instructor was brilliant, explained everything and provided all the safety equipment, wet suit and paddle board were in the hire charge so no added extras. Some didn't get as far up the river as others but most of us went in it. Great time had by all and highly recommend this company for SUP or Canoeing

What a perfect way to spend an afternoon! Could not recommend this place more, nothing was too much trouble and everything was well organised and prepared. There’s no feeling quite like paddle boarding and would really recommend Hire A Canoe to anyone looking for some great fun!
